Streaming Live Worldwide December 12

November 18th, 2020

Hey folks,

For the last few years, I’ve hit the road around Christmastime with some good friends and played shows filled with the songs of the season. It will do me lots of good to be able to still have a show like that this year. We are streaming live worldwide from Halifax to bring you:

I’ll be joined by some of my absolute favourite people as we sing some holiday classics, some not so classics and just some of our favourite songs to play. Darren McMullen, Kim Dunn and Bruce Dixon will be with me as the house band along with special guests Reeny Smith, Erin Costelo and David Myles. Grab a streaming ticket now HERE.

Tune in, cozy up and grab your egg nog.

Take Me Back

September 27th, 2019

Sharing the road with two of my heroes was an amazing experience. I grew up listening to both Steve and Marty, playing along to their albums cranked on the stereo. We drove 20,000 miles over the summer and I loved every minute of it. Here’s a little peek at what our days were like as the tour came to a close.

Halfway Home by Morning available now!

March 22nd, 2019
Hey folks,
Here we are, international release day for Halfway Home by Morning. There are a number of feelings that come to the surface when it’s time to release a new project. In my younger days, it meant wondering if people would like it, will radio play it, did l make the right decisions, will it get nominated? This time around, there is none of that. I am massively proud of what is on this album and nothing but excited to be able to share it. I went into the studio with the goal of making a recording that I would love and that was free from the restraint that worrying about how it will be received can bring. I feel as good listening to this record now as I did when we were laying down the tracks. It’s full of the joy and energy that was in that room.
Turn it up loud and turn it up often.

Quarter On The Ground (A Song For Uncle Joe)

February 7th, 2019

My uncle Joe was the uncle who was always stopping in for a visit or calling on the phone. After he passed away, one of his brothers said that he wished he could talk on the phone with Joe just once more. While I was in Nashville recording the new album, we had The McCrary Sisters in to do some singing. I thought as a surprise for my mum I would record the song with them singing so she could have a proper recording of it. I never intended for this song to end up on the album but my manager convinced me otherwise. I got the chance to make this video a few weeks ago in Nashville. I love getting to sing with The McCrarys. Sitting across from them and their harmonies is a sound to behold.
